With COVID-19 cases reported across California, Green Door West is focused on the best ways to keep customers, workers and communities safe.

We have communicated clear policies to our drivers and employees, both for their own safety and for customer health. Our number one goal is protecting everyone’s well being throughout this situation.

So what are we doing?

Safeguards for Customers and Drivers

To maximize everyone’s protection we have asked all our drivers and employees, to:

Clean off hand-held phones and terminals after every transaction;


Not touch/exchange IDs during ID verification checks; Do not shake hands, touch or embrace others.

Have employees wash their hands regularly throughout the day to maximize their safety and customer safety;

Mandatory for drivers to wear masks and disposable nitrile gloves as a precautionary measure to minimize face-touching; Mandatory for all drivers to use disinfectant wipes to clean the steering wheel, door handle and other high-touch surfaces frequently during delivery shifts.


Prohibit symptomatic employees (fever, coughing and sneezing, or a combination of these) from working;


Send employees home if they feel unwell or become symptomatic during a shift;

Routinely clean all frequently touched surfaces that drivers interact with as a part of doing their jobs, including workstations, countertops, and doorknobs.

Thank the customer and ask how they are doing; in these times of social distancing, a little kindness goes a long way! We always encourage our customers to wash their hands after returning inside their homes.


This situation is changing quickly, so we are constantly evaluating our operations and response. Many customers rely on delivery because they face mobility challenges and/or have compromised immune systems. We are working to get your orders delivered quickly, compliantly and safely, and we appreciate your patience! We will update this post as additional information becomes available.
